Make Things

My dad was an engineer. He taught his children how to invent and create stuff — from creating random art to building a motorcycle.

My mum told me I was good at mathematics, so I needed to study accounting in college. In my first semester, I discovered computing and was hooked.

What computing allowed me to do was to create. I was able to build things — in this case, programs — that were for a purpose. The act of creating (making) is a joy to me, and I continue that to this day.

In my blog at https://trevorperry.com/make-things/ I talk about making scones and the process required. I am in my element every time I dive into this pursuit.

And, of course, you have already read about my coffee making experience https://medium.com/@trevorcxo/coffee-is-good-bad-for-you-6648ad96be90
